A sweet little vest for sweet little girls. This pattern is knitted in one piece to the underarms then back and fronts are knitted separately.
The body has a slight swing look to it as stitches are gathered at the bodice.
The lace piece on the front is done at the end (stitches are left on a holder) and does require some experience in lace work, although the less experienced can do it in garter stitch to match the other side.
The bonus of this pattern is it does not require any picking up of stitches as bands (garter stitch) are done as you go.
You also don’t need to make any buttonholes as the lace part creates it’s own buttonholes.
Great for layering for spring or fall seasons.
