Heirloom Stranded Cardigans 5328
These stranded cardigans were designed for the #5328 Snuggly Heirloom brochure by Sirdar. The body is knitted in one piece from the bottom to the armholes, then separated into sections of both fronts and back. The sleeves are worked separately before seaming the pieces together. The classic cardigans offer instructions for gender placement of the buttonholes. The Fair isle stitch pattern is given in chart form only.
TENSION
- 24 stitches by 32 rows of 10cm/4in (sq) in stocking stitch AND
- 26 stitches by 30 rows of 10cm/4in (sq) in Fair isle stitch pattern on 4mm needles or the size required to give correct tension.
Check your tension - if less stitches use a thinner needle, if more use a thicker needle.
