The pattern is a simple alternating sc-dc repeat, with eyelets along all of the edges. The eyelets provide a variety of options for button placement.

Helen is designed to show off handspun, but it’ll do well with any aran or light bulky weight yarn.

Note 2: It seems that yardage is varying quite a bit from project to project--from 85 to 150 yards or so. If your yarn is aran, chunky, or lighter bulky, you may need at least 100 grams of yarn, even if that means more yardage.
