The «Icelander» is a classic scandinavian handknit with deep roots for ourdoor wear.
Helenes version is a top-down 1960s inspired version with drop shoulders, positive ease and a cropped cut, with room for layering.

Needles: 3.5 mm & 4 mm
Yarn: Fabel Knitwear Ask (Hillesvåg)
Size: (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL)

Bust: (134) 140 (148) 156 (164) 172 (180) cm
Note that the sweater has 25 – 50 cm positive ease, depending on your preference.
Mine has aprox 40 cm. This can be adjusted for preference.

Quantity main colour: (230) 250 (300) 350 (350) 380 400 g
Quantity colourwork: (100) 100 (100) 150 (200) 200 (250) g

Gauge: 19 st(s) = 10 cm
Row gauge: 24.5 st(s) = 10 cm

Note on neckline-fit:
Due to the deep sleeves combined with the mock turtleneck, the sweater will create a folded drape across the collarbone (like a warm hug!). Note that this will even out quite a bit with blocking, but not disappear entirely.

The only reason it is not available in larger sizes is I couldn’t get testknitters for those sizes, and I don’t want anyone to pay for a pattern and knit a size thats not been tested.
