Helianthus
This pattern was inspired by the Cabled Mitts by Brenda K. B. Anderson, but really took on a life of its own! It does use the same unique half-V stitch from her design in two rows, and so pairs with it quite well.
However, worked in multiple colors, this hat also can take on a chullo/nordic kind of feel. I don’t give specific colorwork instructions, but basic guidelines of what I did in the example is included.
A hand-drawn diagram is also included at the bottom of the page. If anyone would like to contribute nicer diagrams for my website (my computer is broken so I can’t do my own ;^;) I would be eternally grateful for your help.

I would grade this as an advanced beginner pattern, or intermediate if you are doing colorworking.
