This is one of four patterns from Neck and Neck … and Neck and Neck. Scarf patterns don’t get any easier than these.
Helicoil is a spiral scarf worked entirely in treble crochet (US double crochet). It can be made in any yarn and the pattern tells you how to use up every last bit of your yarn (should you need to).
The yarn shown in the photograph is a lightweight chunky mixture that changes gradually along its length. This type of yarn works well as it provides an interesting mix of colours.
