Heligan
Heligan is as simple as charming: the cables do all the work, creating a wonderful sense of movement as they cascade down the body. The sweater is worked from top to bottom, in the round. The increases are worked within the cables, so they almost double in size by the time you are finished. At the end comes the fun part where you unravel all the stitches between the cable columns setting the top free to swing around the body! There is an option to add an elasticated i-cord into the neckline if you prefer it not to sit off the shoulder.

NOTES
The top is worked in the round, starting with the yoke. You will begin by working a folded hem at the neckline, which will gather naturally due to cable twists. After the first cables have been established, purl stitches are introduced between each set of cables. All purl columns will be dropped at the end of the project. This is the exciting part where you will finally reveal the actual shape and size of the garment. Until this point the garment will look smaller in width than it truly is.
Once the yoke is complete, the body and sleeves are divided, leaving the sleeve stitches on hold to work after the body is completed. Stitches are cast-on at the underarms and purl stitches are established. The increases throughout the garment are made by increasing the cable size, ending with cables close to twice the size as those in the yoke. As the stitches in each cable grow so does the rounds between each cable turn round, making longer / wider cables. Sleeve and body hems are worked using smaller needles and an applied I-cord.
