Heliotrope Cowl
Heliotropism is the directional growth of a plant towards sunlight. These leaves are growing up toward the sun! This cowl is knit in the round from the bottom up, and features a simple brioche pattern. It’s a great next step after learning two color brioche rib in the round.
The Heliotrope Cowl is available as an individual pattern, and also in the Brioche Hat Trick e-book which includes patterns for three hats and two cowls. (A hat trick is 3 goals by the same player in a hockey game. Are these hats your goals?)
Too much variety? Heliotrope is also available in an e-book with a Heliotrope hat. Knitter’s choice!
July 2020: I’ve added a tutorial for another way to handle the tricky bits at the beginning/end of rounds; see my PDXKnitterati Tutorials page if you’d like to try an alternate way.
