These are a super autumnal design using beautiful West Yorkshire Spinners Autumn Leaves yarn, with a colourwork leaf pattern running the length of the sock and a short row heel.
The pattern is written for 3 sizes, small (UK 5-6), medium (UK 6-7) and large (UK 7-8), but the it is very easily customizable to fit your own foot. As you’re knitting from the cuff down, you can slip your work over your foot to check the fit of the leg, heel and foot as you go.

Suitable for confident knitters with knowledge of sock knitting and stranded colourwork - joining in the round, a short row heel, kitchener stitch.

I’ve knitted these socks using West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 ply yarn.
You will need the following quantities to knit 1 pair up to a UK size 8:
Nutmeg (orange), 15g
Autumn Leaves (self patterning), 30g
Milk Bottle (white), 25g
Cardamom (olive green), 15g
Cherry Drop (pink), 15g

Any 4 ply sock yarn will do, however, the gauge I’ve worked to is 32 stitches to 41 rows using 2.5mm double pointed needles - you can use a circular needle and the magic loop method if you prefer.

I have tried to make this pattern as user friendly as possible, but will provide you with my email address when you download the pattern, if you have any issues at all, do get in touch and I will be happy to help.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my listing, if you have any questions before purchasing, do get in touch.

Happy Knitting! x
