This oversized and fun-to-knit shawl is worked from one point, increasing outward to a section of two-color stripes before finishing with a broad band of garter stitch. Basic shaping is incorporated to give the triangle a gentle curve. The body of the shawl is worked in simple bands of eyelets framed by garter
stitch rows that add texture and interest to the design. It is easy to adapt the size of the shawl to suit your preference by adjusting the number of repeats of the body pattern.

When working the two-color stripes, the yarns may be carried up the side. Be sure to keep the carried yarn loose to allow the edge to stretch when blocked.

Needles
US 5 3.75 mm circular needle, 32”/80 cm or size to obtain gauge
Note: although this shawl is worked flat, a circular needle is used to hold the large number of stitches. If desired, straight needles may be used until the shawl is too large to work on straight needles.
