Gauge is not critical. I used a G hook but you would get a much nicer, tighter fabric from a smaller hook. I used a cotton yarn for Kitty’s body, any worsted weight would work nicely though. Her dress is knitted and the pattern for that is included as well. I used 16” size 8 circular needles for the dress.
