This hat is easily knitted, and can be used without ears and so. It is possible to make different embellishments for it - a knitted bow or a crocheted flower.
You might even pin it on with a safety needle, and change according to mood. But not if the hat is for a child.
The ears can be knitted with turkish cast on, but can also be knitted as stockings from top-down, and sewn together later - or even be filled, to look fluffier.
The face must be embroidered on quite low on the hat.
