This delightful two in one pattern includes instructions for the kitty mermaid/purrmaid and the beautiful mermaid with loopy hair!
Designed to stand on its own this bottom up low sew design works up quickly. You do need to sew on the tail, fin and bows or starfish. Even the hair is done right onto the top of the head in front loops you will create in the round.

The possibilities are endless! Use your imagination to create your own masterpiece! When I first published this kitty mermaid pattern in October of 2020 on Ravelry, it was done in worsted only. This is an updated version to include plush yarns and is a little bit easier than the original version, plus it includes kitty’s mermaid friend!

I used a combination of Hobbii Honey Bunny, Parfait Chunky and Baby Bee from Hobby Lobby. They all work pretty well together. They both ended up being about 8.5” tall with a 6 mm hook.

You will need a small piece of cardboard for the body base, 1” oval eyes for the kitty and 14 mm safety eyes for the mermaid.

I use mercerized black cotton yarn for the whiskers and the eyelashes.

Add beads or other accessories to glamorize your mermaids!
