Knit top down, with an afterthought heel, and cute little polka dot bands at the leg and toe. Hello, Richard Socks are simple enough in construction for travel or TV knitting, and provide endless colour combination options.

Tools;
1 pair of 2.25mm needles, either DPN’s or 80cm circular (or size to get gauge)
1 100g (400m) sock yarn will suffice for most sizes
Scrap yarn for lifeline
20g (80m) mini for contrast colour

Choosing a size;
Size 64 for narrow to medium foot widths
(19-21cm circumference at foot, with 2cm negative ease)

Size 72 for medium to wide foot widths
(21-23cm circumference at foot, with 2cm negative ease)

If in doubt- size up. The colourwork band around the leg will provide little stretch for getting your sock over the ball of the heel.
