This stranded colourwork neck cowl incorporates several leaf-like motifs ~ Helmberer is Old English for “leafy”. The leaves wind their way around the circumference creating an elaborate embellishment. Enhance your winter wardrobe with this cozy knitted cowl.

Finished measurements:
Circumference: 76 cm / 30 inches unstretched; 92 cm / 36 inches stretched
Height: 33 cm / 13 inches

Gauge – unstretched and unblocked
9 stitches and 11 Rows = 5 cm / 2 inches in lace stitch pattern on US 8 (5 mm) needles

Needles - US 8 (5 mm) circular, 22″ / 56 cm long, or size needed to obtain gauge

Yarn Used:
Main Colour (MC) Excella 2x2 Knitting Worsted 113.2 g (4 oz), 1 ball. Colour Purple. Any currently available Worsted (#4) yarn with similar yardage may be substituted.
Contrast Colour (CC) Kinsie Wool Shops Kinsie Sayelle 100 g (3.5 oz), 1 ball. Colour Blue. Any currently available Worsted (#4) yarn with similar yardage may be substituted.
