Hemisect Mitts
Cast on provisionally at the outer edge, the Hemisect Mitts are worked flat in two colors, then grafted for a seamless finish. The yarnover short row method makes a smooth and tidy transition between the colors.
Finished Size: S/M (M/L); about 7 (7.75)” circumference and 6.25 (7)” length, measured unstretched. Mitts shown measure 6.25”.
Yarn: Worsted weight (#4 Medium)
Shown here: Cascade Yarn 220 Superwash (100% superwash wool; 220 yd 200m/3.53 oz 100g): #882 Plum Crazy (MC), 1 ball; #877 Golden (CC), 1 ball.
Needles: Size US 6 (4mm): Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: 1 marker (m); yarn needle; scrap yarn for provisional CO.
Gauge: 21 sts and 42 rows = 4” in Garter st.
