I used 3/2 cotton (about 18 wpi) in a stable gauge which does not sag or distort, but any yarn which produces gauge would work well.

Jacket is worked in 1 piece up to the armholes. Detailed instructions for double-knit collar which creates its own support and does not flop about. All edges crisply hemmed or faced. Lovely stable faced button/buttonhole edges.
