Hendren
My dear friend Hendren asked me to make something to replace his old store-bought hat as it neared the end of its life. He asked for something ribbed, but I wanted to make something a little more special than a plain ribbed hat.
Hendren is a carpenter and fine art painter. He needed something he could wear in the studio, the wood shop, a day doing an install, or anywhere else his work takes him.
I knew immediately that Lore was the perfect yarn for this project. The subtle highs and lows in each skein are beautifully displayed in the twisted stitches. The DK weight means it can it be worn fall through spring. And the Romney wool has all the right attributes a hard working craftsperson needs in an item for daily use.
