The yarn I used: worsted weight, 4 ply.

Gauge: 20 single crochet stitches by 22 rows makes a 4x4 inch square.
Because this is a non-wearable item, you don’t need to stress too much about gauge as long as your stitches are tight enough that the stuffing doesn’t show.

Suggested Yarn
This is what I used, but don’t be afraid to do your own version!
I used worsted weight, 4ply acryllic yarn. RHSS = Red Heart Super Saver

Yellow – RHSS “Bright Yellow”
Tan for Pizza Crust – RHSS “Buff”
Red – RHSS “Cherry Red”

Brown – RHSS “Café”
Pale Yellow for Pineapple – RHSS “Soft Yellow”
Orange – RHSS “Pumpkin”

Yardage:
Yardage can vary by person and gauge. These are estimates based on my own use. It is always good to have a little extra just in case!
Green – 85 yards
Yellow – 40 yards
Tan – 112 Yards
Red – 6 yards
This is the estimates for the turtle body only(for the face you will need a small amount of white and black too). The yardage for the toppings will vary depending on how you design it. Each individual topping piece uses less than 5 yards.
