SKILLS USED

Seed Stitch Pattern
Purl Stitches
Knit Stitches
Three Needle Bind Off
Knitting in the Round (for neck cowl only)

This poncho is knit in 3 parts: Front & Back with the Cowl knitted on after the front and back have been seamed at the shoulders using the Three Needle Bind Off. The Front & Back are a solid stockinette stitch with the Seed Stitch pattern running as a border along the bottom and sides of the poncho. The 32 inch circular needle is used to accommodate all of the stitches. The Front & Back are knit flat, separately. The neck cuff is knit by picking up live stitches around the neck hole after the shoulder seaming has been done, and is in the Seed Stitch pattern & worked in the round. The poncho is easily lengthened or shortened if necessary.
