As spring turns to summer, gardens begin to grow. Herb gardens are especially beautiful with their variety of leaf shapes, shades of green, and delicious smells. The lovely lace border of the Herb Garden Shawl depicts the buds, leaves, and beautiful variety of a herb garden, especially in this beautiful green. The shawl is knitted in one piece from end to end with lace, nupps/bobbles, and a garter stitch body. It’s a beautiful project to work on while sitting in a sunny garden.

This pattern is written for one skein of SweetGeorgia Cashluxe Fine and is shown here in Basil.

Some test knitters substituted beads for the bobbles. Check out their finished projects.

Finished Measurements: Approximately 16.5 inches (42 cm) deep at middle point and 78 inches (198 cm) long across top edge, blocked.
