Ystävämme Herbie ilmoitti yllättäen alkutalvesta 2013 tulevansa vierailulle Suomeen ja mietin kuumeisesti mitä kivaa hänelle tekisin tervetuliaisiksi. Suomen talveen sopii mainiosti lämmin pipo ja tältä pohjalta syntyi parin illan aherruksen jälkeen Herbhat.

At the end of 2013 our friend Herbie came for a surprise visit to Finland. I had to think fast what to knit him as a welcome present. The weather was cold and I thought that a warm hat would be nice. And so was Herbhat born. The original hat has travelled to East Sussex with Herbie but my husband wanted to have the exact copy of Herbie’s hat and it is shown at the pics.

The hat has two cables, it is stretchy and fits heads of many sizes.
