Hercule Poirot Amigurumi
There are music geeks and sports geeks, science fiction geeks and movie geeks: there are all sorts of interesting things in the world to get into :) My mom is a mystery geek, and my sister and I teamed up to make her an amigurumi of Agatha Christie’s famous Belgian detective. He’s a doppelgänger of David Suchet, don’t you think? Pattern here if you have a crime in need of solving, or if you’re having difficulty telling a Prince Albert chain from a pince-nez.
I’m not Agatha Christie and don’t own her works (other than dog-eared paperback copies). Feel free to use and share the pattern,
but please don’t sell it or the amigurumi.
This is an easy pattern, suitable for beginners if you know basic stitches. Stitches used are single crochet (sc), slip stitch (sl st), half
double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), increase (inc), and invisible decrease (invdec). Finished figure is approximately 8”/20 cm
tall. Crocheters beware: this was a collaborative effort so both 3.75mm and 4.50mm hooks were used (specified for each piece).
