Here be Dragons
Catch of the Day and Crikey! have ignited a fire in me to keep creating these silly, funky sock patterns. The name ‘Here be Dragons’ comes from the medieval tale of explorers labelling dangerous or unknown territories with the title, “Here be dragons.” But, unlike for those adventurers, knitting these socks won’t be an exploration of unknown territories.
In the pattern you will find all knit instructions, a pattern for the dragon teeth, and assembly directions. The pattern is very detailed! It has over 30 pages, so might be best if you enjoy your patterns in digital form. I hope you’ll find everything you’ll need in it.
Here be Dragons is a fire breathing beast that has a pale colored belly, legs, spikes, wings, textured nose and eye sockets, and beady eyes.
Any sock weight yarn would be great for this pattern! You have so many customization options with this pattern. Color choices and combinations, as well as what features you chose to include (or exclude!) can create wildly different dragons. Omit the front legs and make yourself a Wyvern.
Questions? I’m happy to help! Please use my email address linked at the top of the pattern, not Ravelry messenger.
