Another month, another giant-sized doily attached to a child sized hula hoop to decorate my garden. Here Comes the Sun is knit with worsted weight yarn and pony beads for my display, but by using cotton thread, much smaller needles and replacing the beaded sts with purls, you could make a more reasonable sized doily to use around your home.

Sizes: To fit a 29-32 inch hula hoop as an art piece
Yarn: Knit Picks Brava 500, 100 % Acrylic, 1090 yards (997 meters)/500 grams (17.64 ounces), or any worsted weight yarn for yard display. Sample shown in Custard.
Needles: US 6 (4 mm) dpns and/or circular needles
Notions: Large eyed tapestry needle for weaving in ends, stitch markers (one unique for beginning of rnd), 100 pony beads, 5.5 mm crochet hook for pin-hole cast on and chain bind off. 3.25 mm crochet hook for applying beads, 1 child sized hula hoop. Approximately 10 yards of spare yarn or clear fishing line for lashed mounting (optional).
