Note
身頃と袖を別々に下から上へ編んでいく。2-color brioche rib でヘムと袖口から編み始め、メリアス編みで 身頃と袖を編む。全てのパーツをはぎ合わせる。但し、 2-color brioche rib で編んだ身頃のヘムははぎ合わせな い(スリット)。襟は襟ぐりから拾い目をして 2-color brioche rib で編み、Tubular bind off で伏目。最後に後身 頃の中央にハートをメリヤス刺繍する。

This cozy sweater will knit up quickly with a heavy-weight yarn. The 2-color brioche ribbing of the collar and trim creates a wonderfully sophisticated look, while the fun heart pattern on the back of the sweater is knit last and will leave a sweet and lasting impression. Heritage Heart will compliment any skirt or pair of pants.

Note
The Heritage Heart Jumper is knit flat in pieces from bottom up, beginning with 2-color brioche rib trims, and then working the body in stockinette stitch. The pieces are then seamed together, leaving the hem brioche rib unseamed, and the collar is picked up and worked in the 2-color brioche rib, then finished with the Tubular Bind Off. Finally the heart is Swiss-darned into the centre- back.
