Did you know that different types of herons can be found all over the world? I wanted to create a pattern that symbolizes a world united during such turbulent times. What better symbol of hope and unity than this graceful wading bird?
Materials:
-16” (40cm) US size 5 – 3.75mm circular needles
-16” (40cm) US size 6 – 4.0mm circular needles
-US size 5 – 3.75mm dpns
-5 colors of DK weight yarn. I used the “Swish DK” superwash merino wool from knitpicks.com in shades Jade, White, Marble Heather, Dove Heather, and Black.
-Stitch markers
-Darning needle
-Optional: a faux fur pom pom
