Herringbone Button Baby Beanie
This pattern creates a warm, textured baby beanie using worsted weight yarn and a size J crochet hook. The herringbone half double crochet stitch is used to create the beautiful texture. (The instructions for the herringbone half double crochet are included in the pattern.) A decorative button is sewn on the tab of the beanie’s brim. Caron Simply Soft works well for this hat.
Preemie Size: The finished beanie will measure approximately 4 ½” from the top of the hat to the edge and should fit a head circumference between 10” and 12”.
Newborn Size: The finished beanie will measure approximately 5” from the top of the hat to the edge and should fit a head circumference between 12” and 14”.
