This easy pullover has a herringbone stitch created just using knits and purls. The reversible cowl can be worn folded or scrunched down.

Finished Measurements:
Chest at Underarm: 34 (38, 42, 46, 50, 54)“ Length: 23 (23.5, 24, 24.75, 25, 25.5)”

Materials:
Shibui, Merino Alpaca (3.52oz/100g, 131yds/120m, 50% Wool, 50% Alpaca): 10 (11, 13, 14, 15, 16) skeins
Sizes 7, 8 & 9 (4.5, 5.0 & 5.5mm) 24” (60.96cm) circular needles or size needed to obtain correct gauge

Gauge:
In Herringbone St on size 8 needles, 16.75 sts & 27 rows = 4”/10cm, BLOCKED.
In Rib Pat on size 8 needles, 20.5 sts & 24 rows = 4”/10cm. To save time, take time to check gauge.

Begin Herringbone Chart:
Row 1 (RS): K2tog, Begin set up row chart on stitch 7 (7, 8, 9, 10, 7), work 4 (4, 3, 2, 1, 4)
stitches of chart, pm for start of 10 stitch repeat. Work set up row repeat 1 time, pm, work set up
row 5 (6, 7, 8, 9, 9) more repeats, pm, work 1 repeat, pm, work chart until there is one stitch left,
k1 — 81 (91, 99, 107, 115, 121) sts
(WS) P1, continue working in pattern as established: beginning chart on stitch 7 (7, 8, 9, 10. 7),
work to first marker, then work chart 7 (8, 9, 10, 11, 11) times to last marker, work chart to last
