Pattern includes photo tutorial to show you how to add a hat brim to a regular beanie; a video tutorial is also available after the pattern is published on the blog.

Two hat height options are included in each pattern size. They are listed as: base of earlobe (slouch hat). The base of earlobe row numbers will give you a hat that reaches to the base of the earlobe, the (slouch hat) rows will give you a longer slouch hat with a band you can turn up.

You can also make this as a regular beanie by working the pattern as written without adding the hat band.
