Herringbone Yoke Cardigan
by Jo Allport
Using a self-striping yarn produces subtly different stripe sequences on the body and sleeves of this cardigan. The body is worked in one piece to the armholes, while the sleeves are knitted in the round and joined with the body at the yoke. This is worked in a herringbone stitch, which again works well in a self-striping yarn. The cardigan, created for yarn company Araucania, uses its new Laguna yarn, an aran-weight blend of superfine alpaca and wool.
