Hers & His Fair Isle Hat comes with 2 different colour charts. I really enjoy choosing colours to knit Fair Isle motifs. A light colour set amongst a dark colour can be very striking.

Size:
One size, to fit a medium to large adults head of 59 - 61cm/23 - 24 inches circumference.

Yarn:
3 colours of 8 ply/DK/light, 50gm balls of merino wool. I often use Debbie Bliss Rialto DK, Broadway Merino DK or Bellisimo DK super fine merino wool. Length of yarn is usually between 103 - 125 metres/112 - 137 yards per ball.

Suggested Needles:
3.25mm/US 3 DPNs,
OR 3.25mm/US 3 circular needle for casting on & knitting rib.
4mm/US 6 circular needle for hat body.
4mm/US 6 DPNs for shaping the crown.

Techniques:
Knitting in the round, knit & purl stitches, decreasing, catching floats, weaving, 2 stranded knitting. The pattern is designed to be jogless.
