Herttuatar is a top-down mitten pattern designed to match Valtiatar Socks. Due to the working direction the placement of the thumb opening can be freely adjusted without the stranded pattern being disturbed in the tip.

Pattern features:

• yardage: approx. 35 grams of MC (white) and 25 grams of CC (green)

• instructions written in metric and US terminology

• instructions written for magic loop but dpns can be used as well

• knitted top down

• one stitch count but two thumb length options and free adjustment of the total length

• harts but no written instructions for the stranded colourwork
