Herz
Herz (German for hearts) is a seamless raglan tee with a V-neck and neck bands worked as you go. This top has heart shaped short sleeves, hence the name of the pattern, and corresponding bows at the hems.
It is structured by the use of stockinette and reverse stockinette parts. The waist shaping is hidden in cables that look like little hearts as well.
SIZES
XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL) with finished measurements 80 (90, 100, 110, 120, 130) cm/31½“ (35½”, 39½“, 43¼”, 47¼“, 51”)
Recommended ease: 2.5-8/1-3” positive ease
Sample is shown in size L on a 102 cm/40” bust with 8 cm/ 3” positive ease.
YARN
3 (3, 4, 4, 5, 5) skeins Eco-stitch hand dyed linen 100% sport or approx. 680 (735, 810, 900, 1000, 1100) meters/ 745 (800, 890, 985, 1100, 1200) yards sport weight yarn to obtain given gauge
Sample shown in colorway sea spray.
Everybody knits differently, so given yardage is an estimate.
GAUGE
23 sts x 30 rows = 10 cm/4”, in stockinette/reverse stockinette stitch with 3.50 mm/US4 after washing and blocking
I highly recommend to knit a swatch and measure it before and after washing to achieve your desired fit of the garment. Linen tends to shrink when washed.
Take time to check gauge and adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.
