Hessston is knit in intarsia, with the body of the sweater being knit in one peice. His tail starts in the front and wraps up around the back with his head resting on the shoulder. His head and tongue are picked up and knit so that his mouth is open with his tongue hanging out.

You will need 3 skeins of the main color and 1 skein of the contrast color as well as 10 yards each of red, black and white.
