My first ever crochet hippo. It all started when I decided I might want to make my skunk pattern a bit larger. While in the process we watched an animal program about hippopotamus and well…the rest is history.

I hope you like her as much as I do.

The gauge isn’t really important but I would suggest using the same weight of yarn and hook size throughout.

The finished size of mine is right at 8 1/2 inches tall.
