Hevda
Hevda is a triangular shawl knitted sideways from corner to corner with a lace edging with a steek running along the top edge.
In Shetland Lace a steek is a line of holes found at the edge of and or between other patterns. This is to outline the main pattern or create sections within larger pieces of lace.
This is a great design which is very versatile. I knitted to I had reached half of my yarn and then began decreasing. It is a great way to make sure that you use all the beautiful yarn that you have and not waste a bit.
It is on a garter stitch base.
Wingspan 160cm/63in
Width 61cm/24in
