Hexa purse
This interesting handbag or purse consists of hexagonal motifs, also known as African flowers. It’s very popular
and can be used to make everything, from toys to cardigans. You have a chart, written pattern in English, photo and video tutorials for specific stitches to make this little beauty.
For this project I used:
1. Crochet hook 4.5mm / US 7, plus an auxiliary thinner hook 3,5mm / US 4/E or F for pulling in the ends;
2. Macrame cotton cord 2.5mm (about 0.1 in) in 3 colors; one ball has 250gr/8.80 oz and 225mt/246.06 yds.
Notice this: for purse bag you need one-third of a ball of orange and green, and almost all of blue (to join motifs and make straps).
3. Quality bag’s metal fittings: magnetic closure 18mm (about 0.71 in), rectangle sliding bar strap (adjuster buckle) 2cm (about 0.79 in) for straps, 2 pcs ”O” rings 38mm (about 1.5 in).
4. Sewing needle and thread in the appropriate color; scissors.
5. some lining fabric ~30x70cm/12x28”
Dimensions of purse/crossbody bag:
width: 32.5 cm/13”, depth: 22.5cm/9”, total height 27.5cm/11”, minimal strap length (folded) 50cm/20”,
max. strap length 100cm/40” (or how long you need).
