Looking for a unique, but straightforward crochet blanket pattern for your next project? Check out the Hexadaisy Blanket. Whether you’re an ambitious beginner looking for a challenge, or an experienced crocheter looking to bust that stash you’ve got squirrelled away, this blanket is for you.
The pattern comes with in depth photo tutorials with bullet point instructions for each round to make this pattern easy-to-follow. There are video tutorials for specific techniques used in this blanket, including for the join.
This blanket uses approx. 2880m/3150yds of DK weight yarn to make a finished size of 102cm x 132cm/40” x 52”. You can easily customise the size by changing the number of hexagons, or by changing how many rounds are in the hexagon.
Colours:
You will need yellow for the flower centres, cream for the daisy petals, joining and border, and 12 different colours for the hexagons.
Suggested Yarn:
- 1 ball of Stylecraft Special DK in Mustard (or approx. 90m of yellow DK yarn)
- 3 balls of James C Brett DK with Merino in Cream(1) (or approx. 870m of white/cream DK yarn)
- 1 ball of James C Brett DK with Merino in Light Blue(2) (or approx. 160m of DK yarn)
- 1 ball EACH of Stylecraft Special DK in Grape, Claret, Raspberry, Pale Rose, Gold, Stone, Pistachio, Meadow, Lincoln, Teal, and Storm Blue (or approx. 160m each of 11 different colours of DK yarn)
(1) can be substituted for Stylecraft Special DK in Cream or White
(2) can be substituted for Stylecraft Special DK in Duck Egg or Cloud Blue

Crochet Along
Celebrate summer with the Hexadaisy Blanket Crochet Along. Every Saturday over 12 weeks we are going to be focusing on a different summery colour for your hexagons. On weeks 13 & 14 we will join our hexagons into a throw-size blanket. Week 15 is all about that border. I have chosen a simple, yet effective frilly border for this blanket. Want to use a different colour palette? Or maybe use up your stash? You are absolutely welcome to join the CAL too and I would love to see your chosen colours! The great thing about this design is none of the colours touch each other - they are separated by cream or white. This means that this blanket will look great in any colour scheme, whether its bright and fun, or warm and neutral. You do you and create your own unique version of this gorgeous blanket.
The CAL is running from 24th June 2023 until October 2023 and you can follow along on either Instagram, Youtube, or in the Meema Makes Crochet Club Facebook Group.
