I knew when I first saw Bay Haven’s bulky weight yarn that I had to design a cowl pattern with it. By choosing two complementary colors, I was free to play with texture without worrying about whether the yarns would work together or not. As a result, i came up with an algorithmic design that is all about enjoying the knitting process. In both mathematics and computing, hexadecimal notation is a positional system that represents numbers using a base of 16. Each hexadecimal digit comprises four binary digits, which I have translated as knit and purl stitches.
