I designed this scarf originally for a workshop in 2012.
It uses a hexagonal motif with crossed stitches which create texture, and give it its name!
The pattern shows how to make the scarf, but the hexagon can be made into a scarf, cowl, shawl or anything you like. It was designed originally for The Natural Dye Studio’s Angelus 4 ply yarn but would work in any 4ply/sock/fingering yarn.
The scarf I made measures 37cm (15”) wide by 180cm (71”) long when blocked.
It can be adapted to any weight of yarn provided you use a suitable hook size.
It is written in English and US terms and is charted.
