Very simple and very fun! Hexathrow is a throw made out of hexagons which are knit individually, and then seamed together. Each hexagon is worked in the round from the cast-on edge to the center. The project is easily portable, and chunky yarn in beautiful colors makes the knitting fly by. Arrange the hexagons in whatever pattern you like! Throw in a few extra skeins for a hexablanket!

Skill level: intermediate. Skills needed: working in the round, decreases and increases, and seaming. The edging is simple crochet.

Both chart and written instructions are provided.

YARN
• Berroco Vintage Chunky, 52% acrylic/40% wool/8% nylon, 3.5 oz (100 g) and 136 yds (124 m) per skein, 2 skeins of each of the following (10 skeins total): 6192/Chana Dal, 6121/Sunny, 6123/Blush, 6167/Dewberry, 61176/Fuchsia.
• Scraps of superwash sock yarn in similar colors, for seaming hexagons together. You will need approximately 1 yd (1 m) per hexagon, 25 yds (23 m) total.

Each hexagon requires approximately 37 yds (34 m) or 1 oz (28 g) of Berroco Vintage Chunky yarn; each skein of Berroco Vintage Chunky is enough to knit 3.5 hexagons.

FINISHED DIMENSIONS
• The blanket with the edging is approximately 37” (94 cm) wide and 34” (86 cm) high.
• Each hexagon has 4” (10 cm) sides, and is approximately 7” (18 cm) side-to-side, and 8” (20 cm) point-to-point.

GAUGE
17 sts and 20 rounds = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch, knit in the round.

• G/4.5mm crochet hook
