Hexi Beehive Blanket
This blanket is made from assembling a variety of standard and puff stitch hexagons into a beehive pattern, with the optional embellishment of bees and their flight path from the hive.
Measurements:
The finished blanket measures approx. 25” x 36”. You could use any sized yarn and matching hook, but the size of the finished product will change accordingly. Using DK yarn made a small crib sized blanket.
Materials:
Yarn - For the piece pictured here, I used Paintbox Yarns Simply DK
1 ball each of:
Banana Cream
Buttercup Yellow
Daffodil Yellow
Mustard Yellow
Black
3 balls of White
Hook - 4.0mm
Scissors
Tapestry Needle
Stitches Used:
Ch - chain
SC - single crochet
DC - double crochet
PS - Puff Stitch - Yarn over, insert hook, yarn over and draw through (3 loops on hook), repeat from * to * 4 more times (11 loops on hook), yarn over and draw through all 11 loops
Mattress stitch (to connect pieces)
