Hidden Cable Shawl
Sometimes I flip through my stitch pattern books in search of one thing, and something else catches my eye. The stitch pattern for this shawl was in one of my Japanese stitch dictionaries. I glanced at it and almost passed by, because it looks like an intricate lace pattern. Lo and behold! It has hidden cable crossings! Don’t be scared off by the stitch pattern: yarn overs and decreases occur on both right and wrong side rows of the pattern, but the multiple is only 7 stitches wide and easy to master. The luxurious yarn makes this shawl a pleasure to knit and wear.
