Higgins
Higgins is a wide and cozy scarf combining narrow stripes and blocks of solid colors. It is knit from end to end, and alternates two simple stitch patterns with an I-cord edging throughout.
All stripes are 2 rows; carry non-working yarn up the edge of the scarf.
Gauge and yarn weight are not crucial to the pattern, but please keep in mind any changes will affect yardage and finished measurements.
Yarn –DK weight yarn in four colors; 230 yards (210 meters) each, plus additional 20 yards (19 meters) of color used for fringe.
Sample knit in The Plucky Knitter Cozy.
Please note, project used exact amount of stated yardage (940 yards (859 meters) total). If you’re worried about yardage, consider casting on fewer stitches for a slightly narrower scarf, but be sure to cast on an odd number of stitches.
