High Tea Shawl

A feminine, elegant and delicate lacy shawl that is perfect for wearing in spring/summer with a pretty dress or in autumn/winter to dress up plain knits.
Although the example shawls have been made with fingering weight yarn (3-4ply) thicker yarns could also be used as the sections can be varied in size.
Required skill level is intermediate, although an adventurous beginner could also make this shawl.
The shawl can be sized to preference by varying the number of repeats for the three sections of the shawl. Following the standard written instruction repeats (Ravelry pdf) with a 1000m/1093yd 3-4ply yarn cake will result in a shawl that is approximately 200cm/79” in width by 95cm/37.5” in length.
Diagrams are included in the pattern pdf for the three diamond lace sections of the pattern.
Please note: The instructions for the first section of the shawl and a pretty border is available for free on my blog. These instructions will make a pretty shawl or shawlette like the green/purple colourway example shawlette (which was made from 600m of fingering weight yarn).
Please refer to pattern Projects for lovely test projects and yarn choice inspiration.
