“If you are cold, tea will warm you; if you are too heated, it will cool you; If you are depressed, it will cheer you; If you are excited, it will calm you.” --William Ewart Gladstone

One of my favorite rituals is my morning cup of tea. Like knitting, (and warm socks), tea is cozy, comforting, and restorative. No matter what you’re dealing with, I believe tea will help. This pattern embodies all of the feelings evoked by a warm (& sweet, if you’re me!) cup of tea, while exemplifying the sophistication of a traditional high tea. They are perfect for wearing while curled up with a warm cuppa.

High Tea is a beautifully delicate sock pattern that utilizes tiny 1x1 cables, (or “twists”), to create a lovely meandering pattern. The cables are deceptively easy and the stitch pattern is very intuitive.

The pattern includes instructions to continue the cables down the gusset of the heel as well as through the toe decreases for increased loveliness - charts are included for each component to make knitting them a breeze.
