Highland Cow Bookmark
This Highland Cow bookmark has an amigurumi head and a flat bookmark body. The head and body are crocheted as one with the horns sewn on afterwards. Images guide you through the process of making your bookmark.
I have used Scheepjes Catona. You need a main colour and another colour for the horns and hooves with a small amount of 4ply in black to create the facial detail. You will be able to make 3 bookmarks out of a 50g ball of the main colour, in this case Rust or Ginger Gold.
I have also made these bookmarks using West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 ply in Robin (this is the multicoloured cow in the photos). This yarn gives a thinner bookmark; to lengthen it, instead of working to row 60 before completing the final rows, add a further 14 rows to get the length and then continue.
A conversion chart for UK>US terminology is included with a handy yrh guide. Whilst this pattern contains UK terms, I will forward a US terms version to purchasers on request.
I hope you have fun making your coo bookmark.
