When you knit a very simple charted pattern with two different shades of Noro Kureyon, the results are unbelievable! Try it, you might enjoy it too!

Kureyon is a slightly heavy worsted weight yarn … a size 4 needle is a bit small/unusual? The results, though are an extremely warm hat that can withstand some arctic breezes.

The difficulty is trying to find two Kureyon colorways with no color similarities! The beauty is that even when that task is impossible to achieve, the watercolor effect as the color washes out and back in … well, that’s worth everything.

If you prefer that things be a lot more predictable, try a solid yarn instead - it would still be warm!
