Highland Mist
“Highland Mist” Shawl
This is a pattern designed around wanting to use some of the gorgeous silk mohair lace yarn that is popular at the moment.
Working this yarn alongside a silk/merino fingering weight yarn has produced a shawl that is light and airy whilst being warm and delicate. As long as the fingering/4ply yarn has a drape quality to it any base will work well with the mohair.
It’s a semi circular shawl that can be worn draped around your shoulders, or wrapped as a scarf for a feel of luxury under your chin. Also perfect for a wedding or special occasion shawl when you want something a bit special.
There are so many beautiful colours available with the mohair that any combination will do this pattern justice and I am sure will become a firm favourite to wear.
The name of shawl has come from the colours I chose, producing a mist like haze over the brown shades of barren rock and earth, once again my love of the highlands coming forwards.
